Born with a natural sense of whimsy and a flair for the dramatic, my art work tends to reflect this nature through the use of lush colors and bold lines. During my college years I was encouraged to rein in my flamboyant nature and turned to more serious works of art, often eschewing color entirely to work solely in black and white images. After moving to the dreary climes of Seattle, a city blanketed for eight months of the year by a cloud mass of solid grey, I found myself once again indulging in bright and engaging colors. I have my own style, but can also emulate styles of different artists and cultures.
I have created art in a large variety of media including painting (oils, acrylics, watercolor, gouache, latex), printmaking (etching, intaglio, serigraphy, lithography, and linoblock), sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, stainglass, and monster hats.
